Engineering practice Buro Happold are running a photo competition called #newcityoldcity. They are looking for images of modern workplaces brushing up against historic cities. The winning images will be displayed at an exhibition in Bath in the Autumn. Full details can be found here: http://www.burohappold.com/news/newcityoldcity-photography-competition/.
Entrants can provide images form any city across the world. I've entered the competition with this image of the Tate Modern (formally the Bankside Power Station) and the Shard in London. I believe this image captures the contrasting construction technologies used in both pre-1900's London and post-2000's London, whilst showing each to be as elegant and imposing as each other as they pierce the skyline.
