Earth Day is Saturday April 22. Many companies are joining in the global celebrations, including NASA, Apple and Google. NASA have shared a number of images on their tumblr and Instagram pages. These include some of the most famous images of the earth.

Apple are using the day to highlight the changes they have made, and hope to make in the future, when manufacturing their technology products. Their 58 page environmental report summaries there carbon footprint, recycling rates. They have certainly been making a lot of improvements over the past few years to reduce their environmental impact.

Google are providing tips for helping the planet by encouraging us to reduce energy use at home, reduce emissions from transport and to eat locally sourced fruits and vegatables.
