Review: Saal Digital Photo Canvas
Great photos deserve to be printed and displayed. This can take many forms: photobooks, phone cases & mugs. The classic though has got to be large scale prints to decorate your home. These will be seen the most and could be used to celebrate moments or to showcase work.
For many people photos of family, friends, weddings and holidays earn a place on the wall of homes. One of the most popular formats of large prints is a photo canvas.
I recently received a Saal Digital photo canvas to review. I selected the 30cm x 45cm photo canvas. To create the photo canvas I downloaded the Saal Digital software and set up the project. It was great to work with the selected image to see how the image will fold over the sides of the canvas, and to ensure the pixel density (image quality) matched or exceeded the print at the selected size.
The image (shown below) shows the bright sky, just before dawn, peacefully reflecting off the calm sea. This would be a challenge for any print as the subtlety of colour and shade are key to recreating the scene.
The canvas itself is great quality, the image is well recreated, as advised by the software the image was of suitable quality for the print size. The image wraps around the frame, also as per the softwares preview. The frame itself is sturdy and well made. I am looking forward to seeing the image each day as it will likely hand in my hallway.
In the gallery below you can see the original image I choose to print.
Thanks to Saal Digital for supplying the photo canvas for review. You can get £15 of your first order with offer code: WB326BAH. Offer code valid until the end of August.
